
APPROXIMATELY 90 swimmers from the five clubs affiliated to the Saint Lucia Aquatics Federation (SLAF) recently participated the third Open-Water swim meet at Pigeon Island, next to the Landings Hotel.
The organisers described the event as “an unforgettable celebration of sport, camaraderie, and natural beauty.”
The event began with a 5km swim, followed by 3km, 1km, and 400-meter races, and concluded with the 100 and 200 meters. Swimmers demonstrated their endurance and expertise during this exciting competition.
Among the standout competitors in the 5km swim were:
– 1st Place 11-12 Boys: Caden Calderon (Sharks)
– 13-14 Boys: Noah Dorville
– 15-17 Boys: Karic Charles (Lightning Aquatic)
In the 3km Male 11-12 category:
– Dylan Corcoran (Sharks), Nathan Lewis (Seajays), and Dexter Andrew (Seajays)
For Boys 13-14:
– Jayden Xu (Seajays), Aaron Charles (Lightning Aquatic), and Liam Felicien (Lightning Aquatic)
In the Boys 15-17 category:
– Sebastian Ambler (Lightning Aquatic)
Final points tally:
– Sharks: 211
