Preparations are progressing smoothly for the 52nd Central America and Caribbean (CAC) Bodybuilding and Fitness Championships, which will take place in Saint Lucia at the Pavilion in Rodney Bay come September 2025.

Jacquline Trim, President of the Saint Lucia Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (SLBBFF), is leading the efforts to ensure the event’s success.

Trim explained that Saint Lucia submitted its bid to host the championships during the CAC Championships in Santo Domingo in 2020.

With 2025 approaching, preparations are now in full swing. Organizers anticipate participation from countries such as Guatemala, Puerto Rico, Colombia, Suriname, and other Caribbean islands.

Out of the 32 countries in the CAC, at least 25 are expected to participate, with a combined total of 200 to 300 athletes competing in 20 different categories. Trim stated that all CAC members are eagerly looking forward to the event in Saint Lucia.

Season tickets will be available, granting patrons access to all events, including the athletes’ weigh-in sessions and two days of competition.

Additionally, Sunday will be reserved for sightseeing tours, available on land or at sea.

To host an event of this magnitude, Trim indicated that the SLBBFF requires a budget of EC$400,000 and is seeking support from corporate entities in Saint Lucia as well as funding agencies.

There are five tiers of sponsorship available: Title, Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze.
