Schools, sports clubs, healthcare advocates, and community welfare organizations across Saint Lucia received a boost to their programmes through donations totalling XCD15,800 from CIBC Caribbean. The bank hosted an intimate handover ceremony where beneficiaries shared their visions for community development and social impact.

Representatives from the RC Boys School, Riviere Doree Community Group, Rising Stars Youth and Sports Club gathered alongside delegates from the Special Education Center, St. Lucia Blind Welfare Association, St. Lucia Arthritis Association, and the St. Lucia Red Cross to receive their contributions and discuss future initiatives.

“Today’s gathering is about more than presenting donations – it’s about strengthening the bonds that make our communities resilient,” noted Country Manager Nigel Ollivierre.  “While we celebrate these contributions today, we’re also looking toward future partnerships.  Mr. Ollivierre added, as he encouraged the organizations to maintain an open dialogue with the bank to further solidify CIBC Caribbean’s commitment to nurturing grassroots partnerships for long-term community development.

The ceremony took on special significance with the presence of students from the RC Boys School, who witnessed firsthand the importance of corporate citizenship and community support. Their participation underscored the event’s broader message about nurturing a culture of giving in future generations.

The donations will enable various community initiatives, from enhancing educational resources and sports development programs to improving healthcare access and social welfare services. Each organization represented at the ceremony plays a unique role in building a stronger, more inclusive Saint Lucia.
