Yesterday, the Derek Walcott Square was filled with exuberant festivities as home supporters gathered to commemorate the Saint Lucia Kings, Caribbean Premier League (CPL) winners for 2024.

With the West Indies set to face England in three T20I matches at the Daren Sammy Cricket Ground from November 14, 16 and 17, administrators saw this as an excellent occasion to thank the team on their exceptional achievement this year.

The celebrations included encounters with school kids and other supporters, culminating in a National Concert featuring some of Saint Lucia’s best talent. The Ministry of Youth Development and Sports (MYDS) arranged the event in partnership with various stakeholders.
