Team Saint Lucia achieved 4th place at the 32nd OECS Swimming Championships held last weekend at the Shrewsbury Aquatic Centre in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG).
The 34-member team showcased some impressive performances from its swimmers. Miles Andrew excelled in the 8 and Under Boys category, winning 4 gold medals at the meet.
Other standout performances included Sapphire Parks, who won gold in the 100m Breaststroke in the 9 to 10 Girls category, and Faith Jeffrey, who also took gold in the 100m Breaststroke for the 13-14 Girls category.
In the 10 and Under Girls Individual Medley Relay, the team of Gia Arthurs, Mya Andrew, Khiara Hippolyte, and Sapphire Parks delivered an outstanding performance, earning a podium finish.
Additionally, in the Boys 10 and Under 200m Medley Relay, the team consisting of Miles Andrew, Dylan Corcoran, Tyler Dantes, and Keyanno Elibox secured a gold medal.
The St Lucia Aquatics Federation (SLAF) expressed pride in the swimmers’ performances and their representation of the nation.
“Your efforts and achievements are recognized as we continue to strive for greatness,” stated an SLAF official.
