THE picturesque Reduit Beach will once again host the 12th annual Mango Bowl Regatta, organized by the Saint Lucia Yacht Club (SLYC). The event is set to take place from November 29 to December 1.
The Skippers Briefing is scheduled for November 29 at the SLYC, starting at 6:00 p.m.
The Mango Bowl Regatta is Saint Lucia’s premier sailing event, attracting sailors from neighboring countries including Martinique, Barbados, Grenada, and Trinidad and Tobago, as well as first-time participants from British Columbia, Canada, and local competitors from Saint Lucia.
The regatta promises excellent racing conditions and spirited competition. This year’s Mango Bowl features four different racing classes: J24 Class, Surprise Class, Racing Class, and a Combined J24 and Surprise Class.
Racing will commence on Saturday morning near the SLYC in Rodney Bay, with additional races scheduled for Sunday.
The event will conclude with a prize-giving ceremony at 4:00 p.m. A spectator boat will be available for members of the public who wish to experience the excitement of the regatta.
