The Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court will hold a media briefing and official launch of the ECSC E-Litigation Portal Criminal Module for Saint Lucia High Court Criminal Division and the Magistracy, on Wednesday, October 9.
The criminal module of the ECSC E-Litigation Portal represents a substantial step forward for the High Court Criminal Division and the Magistracy in Saint Lucia. This innovative platform is designed to revolutionise the management of new criminal proceedings by providing comprehensive electronic document filing and service. Having already demonstrated its success in other Member States and Territories of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court, the e-litigation portal is anticipated to have a profoundly positive impact. It is expected to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of court services while improving access to justice for all parties involved. Moreover, this modern system will significantly enhance the security of vital court records, offering a seamless and secure solution to streamline the High Court Criminal Division and Magistracy operations.
Speakrs at the launch include His Lordship, the Honourable Mr. Mario Michel, Acting Chief Justice of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court; the Honourable Mr. Leslie Mondesir, Attorney-General; Mr. Daarsrean Greene, Director of Public Prosecutions; Her Honour Mrs. Christine Phulchere, Senior Magistrate; and Mrs. Brender Portland-Reynolds, Vice-President, Bar Association of Saint Lucia.
The launch will be held at 10 a.m. at the National Cultural Centre, Barnard Hill, Castries.
