SAINT Lucia’s Team I – consisting of Joseph Clercent, a coach employed in the Ministry of Sports, and Sheldon Descartes, won the Gold medal in the Men’s Final of the Eastern Caribbean Volleyball Association (ECVA) Senior Beach Volleyball Tournament.
The two seasoned players made an impressive comeback to beat Saint Lucia’s Team II, which consisted of Rio Victor and Darnell Eudoxie. The victory marked their fifth win in the tournament, to solidify their unbeaten run throughout the sub-regional competitions.
In the women’s segment, Thornia Mitchell and Renisha Stafford from Grenada emerged victorious, winning the Gold medal by defeating Saint Lucia’s Team I, consisting of Chenoa Evans and Denila Prospere in the final. Mitchell and Stafford remained unbeaten throughout the tournament.
