The award-winning St. Lucia Distillers rum brand launches a unique campaign for International Women’s Day named “She’s the One”, celebrating women from around the world across the productive and service sectors.
“There’s a chairman in all of us. All we have to do is work the environment, listen to the people around us, progress ourselves and go confidently and become the chairman” says St. Lucia Distillers CEO Margaret Monplaisir.
Local Partnership with the Saint Lucian NGO Helen’s Daughters: Chairman’s Reserve has partnered with Helen’s Daughters, a Saint Lucia based nonprofit organization that focuses on the economic development of rural women through improved market access, adaptive agricultural techniques, and capacity building. The rum brand will be donating tents which will be used during the Helen Daughter’s FarmHER markets where the NGO female members sell their products.
The main goal of the partnership is to increase market access for female farmers/agro-processors who typically are not able to enter more established markets such as supermarkets, hotels, etc.
A global campaign to empower women in the hospitality industry: Every month for the rest of 2024, Chairman’s Reserve will champion and highlight females within the hospitality industry from across the world. Margaret Monplaisir will be personally thanking each woman by sending a letter to extend her heartfelt appreciation for their invaluable support over the years.
A special brand logo to celebrate women: The home of Chairman’s Reserve is the only country in the world named after a woman. Chairman’s Reserve wished to celebrate women from the industry across the world by re-branding the brand’s socials with a special logo during the International Women’s Day Rights month.
