Youth and Sports Minister Kenson Casimir has been selected as the Chair of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States’(OECS) Council for Youth and Sports ministers.
The opening ceremony of the inaugural event was held in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth Development and Sports on Wednesday at the Harbour Club.
Casimir, in a Facebook post Thursday, said that he is honoured to be bestowed with the leadership of the Council and that “the confidence placed in me by the other Ministers in the region speaks volumes about the work we have done in Youth and Sports Development in Saint Lucia over the last two and a half years.”
“I look forward to working with the other islands as we fight to take our place in the world. Special thanks to everyone who continue to show their support to me in every way shape or form,” Casimir said.
