The Management of the Bank of Saint Lucia has been in discussion with the recognized non-management bargaining unit on the roll out of the results of a recently concluded job evaluation exercise for non-management staff. The discussions have unfortunately come to a stalemate despite efforts by management to seek solutions to the concerns raised related to this essential activity.
We were notified this morning of an industrial action, in the form of an immediate “sick out” by a number of staff, which will likely negatively impact the quality and delivery of essential services to our customers.
Our expectation is that we will have most services available at our Gros Islet, Waterfront, and Bridge Street branches and teller services only at Vieux Fort. Our Choiseul, Soufriere, Bureau De Change and Massy Mega will remain closed today and we expect that there may be some delays in our overall service delivery system-wide. Our online, ATMs and convenience services will all continue to remain available.
To our valued customers, we extend our most sincere apologies for any disruption caused by this unfortunate action and ask for your patience. Rest assured, we remain steadfast in our commitment to delivering exceptional service and fostering positive relationships with all stakeholders. We thank our hard-working and loyal staff who continue to support our service delivery during this period.
Thank you all for your understanding and continued support as we continue to seek collaborative solutions and address the needs and concerns of all stakeholders.
