ECACHSI Has a New Chairman

Eastern Caribbean Automated Clearing House Services Incorporated (ECACHSI) announces the appointment of its new Chairman, Mr. Trevor Brathwaite, effective October 16th, 2023, following the retirement of Mr. Donald S. Thompson on September 30th, 2023.

Mr. Brathwaite has been a Director of ECACHSI since inception, and previously served as Deputy Governor of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank for more than 15 years. An accountant by profession, he worked with KPMG in Saint Lucia, Barbados and New Zealand, before joining the Government of Saint Lucia, where he served in various capacities over a 14-year period, including Comptroller of Inland Revenue and Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Finance, International Financial Services and Economic Affairs.

A member of the Certified Public Accountants of Canada (CPA-CGA) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Eastern Caribbean, Mr. Brathwaite was educated at the Lambton College of Applied Arts & Technology in Ontario, Canada, where he obtained a diploma in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting.  Mr. Brathwaite is also a Certified Director and a member of the Advisory Board of the Caribbean Institute of Directors.

Mr. Brathwaite previously served as Saint Lucia’s representative on the ECCB’s Board of Directors, as well as on the boards of the East Caribbean Financial Holding Company Ltd. and Jalousie (1996) Ltd.  He was the chairman of the boards for the Saint Lucia Air and Seaports Authority and National Insurance Corporation Investment Committee.  He also served as chairman of the Caribbean Organisation of Tax Administrators (COTA).

ECACHSI warmly welcomes Mr. Brathwaite to the position of Chairman, and looks forward to his continued stewardship of the organisation.

ECACHSI would also like to thank Mr. Thompson for his knowledge, guidance and major contribution towards the success of the company, from commencement of operations until his retirement.
