Mango Bowl Regatta Ends on a Successful Note ⛵

Saint Lucia hosted the 2023 Mango Bowl Regatta, last weekend, and by all accounts it was another resounding success.

Organised by the St. Lucia Yacht Club, the sailors raced for over two days in a lively, sporting environment in the waters off Rodney Bay.

Reports indicate that the J24 and Surprise had a great racing week end.

The St. Lucia Yacht Club acknowledged the support from sponsors and participants, with one of its official stating that “without you, this all would not be possible”.

The sponsors include IGY Rodney Bay Marina, Heineken, Dive Saint Lucia, St. Lucia Distillers ‘Chairman’s Reserve’, Cafe Ole, Cariquisine, Scribble Design Studio, St. Lucia Tourism Authority (SLTA), Events Company of Saint Lucia Ltd, DSL Yachting, Johnsons Hardware Ltd. Saint Lucia Sailing Association.

Meanwhile, the Yacht Club looks forward to a 60-year celebration in 2024. According to a spokesperson, the St. Lucia Yacht Club is a lot more than a sailing club and “we continue to improve on our product for the benefit of all Saint Lucians. We have two Squash courts and now that the sport will be in the Olympics in 2028 …you will be hearing a lot more about this Sport.

“We will keep you posted on our 60-year celebration in 2024,” added the spokesperson.
