16th Annual Saint Lucia-Taiwan Partnership Trade Show Now On

A total of 16 Taiwanese enterprises along with 70 local producers are participating in the Taiwan-Saint Lucia Partnership Trade Show 2023, coordinated by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Taiwan.

This year’s trade show is being held under the theme: “Sustaining Trade in the Digital Age”.

The event is currently going on,  having started yesterday and ends tomorrow. It is held at the Pavilion on the Ramp, Rodney Bay.

Organisers announced that a free shuttle bus will operate daily from Bay walk Mall to the venue.

The Taiwan Pavilions are showcasing an extensive array of products tailored for the Saint Lucian industries which include water purification equipment and filters, solar LED energy storage equipment, adjustable waist straighteners, organic teabags, and longan and red date tea.

The Taiwanese companies will join 70 local booths to display their products, and there will be exciting fun activities throughout the trade show, including Chef Orlando Cooking Show, Karaoke, Fashion Show, Face Painting, Bouncing Castle, and more.

TAITRA will also introduce the Taiwan Excellence Award winners whose high-quality innovative products will be imported from Taiwan, including laptops, tablets, a live streaming arm, conferencing cameras, a night vision recorder, a network camera, and much more.

These products are all made by world-renowned Taiwanese brands such as Asus, Acer, AverMedia, D-Link, and Transcend.

Throughout the three-day event, TAITRA will facilitate opportunities for mutual exchange and collaboration between Saint Lucian and Taiwanese enterprises.

This event not only provides local enterprises with the unique opportunity to meet and discuss possible business cooperation with Taiwanese delegates, but also facilitates closer trade ties between the two countries and other countries in the Caribbean and Central America.

According to the Ministry of Finance of Taiwan, the trade volume between Saint Lucia and Taiwan in 2022 was US$658,000.00. Taiwan’s imports from Saint Lucia totaled US$355,000.00, while its exports to Saint Lucia amounted to US$303,000.00.

The trade relationship between Taiwan and Saint Lucia has been growing in recent years.
