THE Ministry of Youth Development and Sports Under-19 Secondary Schools Netball Tournament continued last week at the Vigie Multi-Purpose Sports Complex, featuring two matches.

In Game #1, Saint Lucia Sports Academy (SLSA) defeated Leon Hess Comprehensive Secondary School 27-4, with Goal Shoot Clediana De Rose scoring 21 out of 27 attempts.

Game # 2, Sir Arthur Lewis Community College (SALCC) beat Stanley John Odlum Secondary 32-3. Goal Attack Rene John scored 16 out of 21 attempts for SALCCA, and Goal Shoot Chloe St. Mark netted 10 out of 13 attempts.

Also, last Friday (October, 20) one game was played during the Under-19 School’s Netball Tournament at the Micoud Court.

Soufriere Comprehensive Secondary School (SCSS) won against Micoud Secondary School (MSS) with a score of 42-10. The quarter scores were 12-0, 18-0, 28-6, and 42-10.

Keley Monlouis, the Goal Shooter for SCSS, scored 33 out of 39 attempts while Cleah Cazaubon, the Goal Attack, netted 9 out of 20 attempts. For MSS, Rianne Joseph scored 6 out of 12 attempts and Mekiege Joseph netted 4 out of 9 attempts.

Matches in the Ministry of Youth Development and Sports 2023 School Netball Tournament were held on, October 19, in two venues.

The tournament is divided into two age categories: Under-15 and Under-19. Matches are played at venues across the island.

During the Under 15 game at the Vigie Multi-Purpose Sports Complex, St. Joseph’s Convent (SJC) defeated Castries Comprehensive Secondary School 17-4 in a low-scoring match.
