Conway Shooting Victim in Stable Condition

A man who was shot in Conway on Thursday morning is said to be in a stable condition at a medical facility.

Police officers at the Castries based Criminal Investigations Department received a report of a shooting in that vicinity at about 6:30 a.m.

“Upon arrival at the scene, the officers were directed to the Massy Supermarket, Waterfront where they observed a male individual, shirtless, standing in front of the supermarket with what appeared to be blood dripping down his abdomen.  The Officers approached the victim, who was conscious at the time.  He identified himself as Carlton Biscette of La Clery, Castries,” stated a press release from the police.

Biscette informed the officers that a male individual known to him, shot him in the chest.  Emergency Medical Technicians from the Saint Lucia Fire Service who also responded to the report of the shooting assessed Biscette. He was transported to a medical facility via ambulance. He is reported to be in a stable condition.

Officers returned to Conway in an attempt to locate any potential witness but their attempts were futile. Investigations into this matter are ongoing.

The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force is pleading to anyone who may have information to come forward. Anonymous tips can also be provided at telephone number 555.
