SAGICOR has announced Mrs. Carol Mangal as General Manager of Sagicor Finance Inc. Mrs Mangal assumed the role on May 1st, 2023, following the retirement of Mr Rae Atkinson. 

Mrs. Mangal is a career banker with more than 30 years of experience in the industry, having held many roles within this sector during her tenure.

Her track record of excellence in leadership and management within the banking industry is well documented as she won the Exemplary Leader Award during her time at a leading international bank  – an achievement which validated her as a driven leader with proven results.

Among her accomplishments, Carol was the first female president of the ECCU Bankers Association and is currently its immediate past president as well as the immediate past president of the St. Lucia Bankers Association.

She holds a Diploma in Financial Services Management from the Institute of Financial Services and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from the University of Liverpool.

As the General Manager for Sagicor Finance Inc., Mrs. Mangal provides overarching strategic leadership for the company which offers loans and lease financing along with deposit investment services. Sagicor Finance Inc is majority owned by Sagicor Life Inc and is located in the Rodney Bay Commercial Center.

Speaking from her office in Rodney Bay, Mrs Mangal said, “It’s been a busy but insightful few months, getting settled and collaborating with the team. There are many opportunities to build upon as we work together to take Sagicor Finance Inc forward in St Lucia and I look upon this moment as a chance to forge a new chapter in this company’s history. My focus is to build the company’s portfolio even while we improve our relationships with customers and continue to build on the team’s expertise.”

In May 2023, the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank provided approval of Mrs Mangal’s appointment to her new role.
