Arrest Made In Conway Shooting

A male individual has been arrested for the attempted murder of Carlton Biscette of La Clery, Castries.

Police last Friday arrested Brendan Thomas alias Brendon Charles for the offence while conducting an operation in the Central Division and Dennery.

Thomas was arrested the day after the attempt on Biscette’s life was made, which was on 19, October 2023.

According to police the primary objectives of the operation, which resulted in the arrest of Thomas, were to execute search warrants, conduct sweeps throughout Dennery Village due to the increasing incidents of gun violence and apprehend a suspect who was wanted for the offence of Attempted Murder.

“During the execution of a search warrant on the premises of Brendan Thomas alias Brendan Charles of Conway, Castries, law enforcement recovered 30 foil wraps of Cannabis Resin, a quantity of what is suspected to be Crack Cocaine, a quantity of green plant material suspected to be marijuana and the sum of $2055.55. At the end of the search, Thomas was also arrested for attempting to cause the death of Carlton Biscette,” noted a police press release.

Thomas was charged with a number of offences, and taken before the Courts for the purposes of bail, which was granted in the following manner:  Possession of Cannabis Resin – $700.00; Possession of Crack Cocaine – $700.00; Intent to Supply Cannabis Resin – $1,000.00; Intent to Supply Crack Cocaine – $1,000.00 and Attempted Murder – $10,000.00)

Biscette was shot in the Conway area, where he was found by police with blood dripping down his abdomen. He told police the individual who shot him was known to him.
