IGY Rodney Bay Marina and NWU Establish New Industrial Agreement

MANAGEMENT of the IGY Rodney Bay Marina and the leadership of the National Workers Union (NWU) have established a new industrial agreement.

The document makes provisions for a regime of fringe benefits inclusive of a 10.5% general wage increase, a Height Bonus and Paternity Leave.

The new contract will run for a period of three years and will benefit all workers employed with the company which operates from the Rodney Bay Marina.  This is the first Cruise Tourism Industrial Accord between the Company and the National Workers Union.

Arrangements for the official signing are being finalized by the company, the union and the Department of Labour.

Meanwhile Secretary General of the NWU Johann Harewood has disclosed that the NWU has submitted its Memorandum of Proposals to the Management of Anse Chastanet Resort based in Soufriere.
