Saint Lucia’s National Under-14 Girls team has been turning out some outstanding performances in this season’s Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Under-14 Challenge Series, currently underway in Antigua and Barbuda.
Team Saint has won two matches and drew one game as they continue to impress in the junior regional female tournament.
Upwards to press time, Tuesday, Saint Lucia upped its winning mode as they got past Guadeloupe 2-1.
Saint Lucia has been placed in Tier II Group C alongside Curacao, Martinique, Guadeloupe, and Saint Kitts and Nevis.
After playing to a goalless draw against Curacao in an opening-round fixture of the tournament, on Sunday (August 20), at the ABFA Technical Centre, Team Saint Lucia went on to demolish St Kitts/Nevis 5-2 in the next game, on Monday.
According to reports, Team 758 young ladies put on an “impressive display” from start to finish under the astute guidance of coach Francis “Panco” Mc Donald.
Other results from Monday’s matches were as follows:
Antigua & Barbuda vs. Bonaire (BOE) 6-0,
Bermuda vs. Barbados 2-1,
Cayman Islands vs. Turks & Caicos Islands (TCA) 3-2,
Jamaica vs. Trinidad & Tobago 1-0.
Upwards to press time, Tuesday, Saint Lucia upped its winning mode as they got past Guadeloupe 2-1.
Meanwhile, Saint Lucia is due to take on Martinique,
Thursday (August, 24) in the final preliminary round match.
