Industrial engagement between the Management of First Citizens Investment Bank and the National Workers Union (NWU) continued Thursday May 11, 2023.
The parties met through a virtual platform and discussed the Memorandum of Proposals submitted by the union which deals with improved working conditions, fringe benefits and a general wage increase.
The NWU has disclosed that the talks have been progressing smoothly with a number of provisions within the industrial regime being agreed upon in principle. The parties have agreed to reconvene shortly with an undertaking to bring these industrial negotiations to a satisfactory conclusion.
The NWU is the bargaining agent for the workers employed with First Citizens Investment Bank
Meanwhile, the Bank of Saint Lucia and the NWU are also currently engaged in industrial negotiations.
