The New Generation Football Club warmly acknowledges Jamaican National Barrington Boglie Snr., for his continued support and encouragement for the team over the years.
During a small handing over function, at the Fond Assau Playing Field on November 29, the New Generation FC were recipients of a gift of new club uniforms for its youth players, courtesy of Boglie Snr.
The gift package consisted of jerseys and pants, as well as training tops, bibs and football boots.
According to a New Generation spokesperson, once on island, Boglie plays his recreational football with the New Generation F.C. players at the Fond Assau Playing Field.
“He has been involved in football for over 40 years, plus his involvement with a number of leagues, teams and youth clubs in his native Jamaica and also in the U.S.A, where he started a team in Hartford, Connecticut, in 1992,” the club official explained, while adding that Boglie is “still going strong today.”
While handing over the equipment, he requested the club to continue the good work that it has started over the years and informed the players to keep their discipline and education at the forefront.
On hand to receive the equipment were members of the U-17 team, as well as Coaches Ricky Joseph and Solomon Alexander and club Manager, Mervin Engeliste.
Once again, New Generation F.C says: “Thank You to Mr. Boglie!”
