A Dennery man was shot and killed heading to the eve of this year’s Christmas holiday season, bringing the murder toll to 72.
This is the second victim shot and killed in the Eastern-zone community over the past two weeks. The community has been besieged by a spate of shooting incidents lately, which has become a worrying factor for residents, who at times are left traumatized.
Police reported that Navi Jn. Baptiste, 27 of La Pointe, Dennery, was killed following a shooting incident in Dennery, at about 8:40 p.m. Thursday.
According to reports, Jn. Baptiste died from multiple gunshot injuries.
Meanwhile, on December, 16 it was reported that farmer from the Dennery community, Casper Cox was shot dead on his farm. The incident reportedly occurred at about 7.20a.m., when Cox was found with gunshot wounds to the body.
Police are carrying out further investigations into these matters.
