Organisers are hailing the staging of Vybe Radio’s inaugural Inter-commercial Fun Sports as a ‘tremendous success’ as the event got off at the SAB Sporting Facility on Sunday (October, 16).
Five teams participated in the event to earn bragging rights and a hold on the Fun Sports Trophy, including: St. Lucia Red Cross, Massy Stores, the Bank of Saint Lucia (BOSL) , the Royal St. Lucia Police Force [RSLPF] and the St. Lucia Rugby Football Union [SLRFU].
In favourable weather conditions, the teams battled out in a number of games including traditional games like the ever-popular lime and spoon, 3-legged race, bun eating, thread the needle and sack race; while fairly new games such as full the bottle and love ball had team members and supporters alike in a frenzy.
After the day’s activity it was the SLRFU who came out on top followed by the RSLPF and Massy Stores in 3rd place. The ruggers put on a show throughout which culminated in them displaying a rousing team chant and victory dance which had the scores of onlookers thoroughly entertained.
Bank of Saint Lucia came away with the team prize for most supported team, Massy stores landed the best dressed team while the SLRFU came away with the most fun team award.

The initiative was seen as a great team building, brand exposure and networking venture and participants are already asking when the next edition will be.
