A body was discovered along the shoreline of Laborie beach early Sunday morning, sending shock waves through the community.
The individual, according to reports had been shot in the head and appears to be another victim of gun violence on the island.
In addition, his skin also appeared to have been badly bruised, possibly because of prolonged exposure to seawater, as his body had also suffered from the elements.
Investigative efforts are underway, but no identification has yet been made by law enforcement.
