Prime Minister Honours Castries East Students

Outstanding Castries East students were honoured by Prime Minister and Parliamentary Representative Philip J Pierre for their exceptional performances in the 2021 Common Entrance Exam. During a brief handover ceremony on June 14, under the theme “If success is your thirst, then persistence must come first”, the students became recipients of new smart devices and school supplies to support their academic pursuits at the secondary school level.

During a brief handover ceremony at the Castries East Constituency Office, six [6] deserving secondary students were rewarded for their outstanding academic achievements in the 2021 Common Entrance Examination.

The students were previously enrolled in primary schools situated in Castries East which is represented in the House of Assembly by Prime Minister and Parliamentary Representative Hon. Philip J Pierre.

The annual honouring ceremony resumed on June 14,2022 after the pandemic postponed the event last year. The top Common Entrance performers each collected brand new smart devices along with school supplies.

Hon. Philip J Pierre has been rewarding students who excel at the grade six [6] level since 2009. The Prime Minister was out of state on official government business when the honouring ceremony took place. However, Youth Attache of the Castries East Constituency Office and coordinator of this year’s event, Cindy Charlemagne, presided over the ceremony on his behalf.

There are three primary schools situated in the Castries East district. Committed to honoring the academic accomplishments of students enrolled in learning institutions based in Castries East, the Prime Minister and Parliamentary Representative Hon. Philip J Pierre will again recognize and reward this year’s performers who sat the inaugural Caribbean Primary Exit Assessment in the coming months.
