Carnival Queen Finalists Chosen

After a two-year pandemic-induced hiatus, beauty, class, and elegance return to the stage as the island will host the prestigious Carnival Queen Pageant on July 7th 2022.

Last night (Thursday May, 12, 2022) during “The Big Reveal” on Choice TV, Saint Lucia and the rest of the watched with great anxiety as the eight beautiful ladies were chosen to vie for the prominent title.

The eight finalists are 20 year old, Christa St Ange of Monchy, Gros Islet, 25 year old, Xenia Douglas, of La Toc Road, Castries, 22-year-old, Shaniah Richards of Cedars, Castries, 22-year-old, Nadege Mc Lauren of Ciceron, Castries, 21-year-old, Nyambi Jn Baptiste, of Ciceron, Castries, 22 year old, Kurnisha Augustus of Grand Riviere, Dennery, 20-year-old, Christa St Ange of Monchy, Gros Islet, 23-year-old Merel Popo of Ti Rocher, Micoud and 21-year-old Entrepot, Castries native Kejean Smith.

This life-changing pageant will combine royalty and sophistication during the island’s carnival celebrations, with the winner going on to represent the island and be its face in regional pageants.

The island last held the Carnival Queen pageant in 2019 at the Royalton. There, Miss Laborie Co-Operative Credit Union,Wenia Verneuil was crowned Queen.
