Pillion Spared but Rider Succumbs to Gun attack

Family and friends are still coming to terms with the violent manner in which their loved one died this past weekend.

Mc Garvey Alexander better known as ‘Movado’ of Bexon, succumbed to injuries sustained after receiving multiple gunshot wounds on the Millennium Highway as he rode a scooter with his pillion passenger on Saturday, 5th February 2022.

Saint Lucia Fire Service lead Public Relations Officer Stacy Joseph reported that an assessment of the patient (Alexander) found on the ground revealed he was void of vital signs and had been injured by several penetrating wounds.

In contrast, the pillion rider appeared to have been spared by the gunman or gunmen, escaping with only body pains. Joseph confirmed that the pillion rider declined further medical attention and signed a release form.

There is still no word on the motive behind Saturday’s shooting that brought the year’s homicide total to six.
