I am tired of corrupt politicians, failed government policies, diseases, and disasters here on earth. The rich are getting richer while the poor are getting poorer. So, it is time for a new type of country and new type of government. People revel during every election campaign. They are expectant and hopeful; however, politicians hardly ever deliver on their promises.
The Misery of Earth Nations
It is true that earth has had some good moments such as medical discoveries, scientific progress, and some good-hearted deeds. In addition, earth has some beautiful places to enjoy. But the misery on earth far outweigh its positives. There is an artist who wrote, “they say Heaven is pretty, but living here is too. And if they say that I would have to choose between the two, I’d go home where I belong.” When we talk about the beauty on earth, we think about the splendor of Niagara Falls, the Serenity of Lake Hillier (south coast of Western Australia). The lake is surrounded by a rim of sand and a dense woodland of paperbark and eucalyptus trees. The most notable feature of the lake is its pink color. The vibrant color is permanent, (http://hillierlake.com/).
However, in that same Australia, “bushfires burned more than 46 million acres, same area size as the entire country of Syria. At least 3,500 homes and thousands of other buildings were lost and 34 people died in the thousands of fires between September 2019 and March 2020.
So, hell exists in the beautiful places on earth. Some other attractive countries on earth include Costa Rica; New Zealand; Seychelles; Finland; the Caribbean. Finland has the 3rd best standard of living, safety and peace of mind here on earth. But they have severe problems too.
Human Knowledge Increase, But no Progress
Human knowledge has produced three periods of innovation in the last hundred and twenty years:
The industrial age, the space age, and the computer age. All promised more unity among the nations, better living conditions and a better future. Yet, the same conflicts that existed decades ago between East and West still hold strong today – in fact, it is now a trifecta because China is now part of that international conflict. The same diseases of 100 years ago still exist with new ones like Covid. And, the future is as bleak as ever because no one has a plan as to how wars will end, cancers will be cured or how corruption will end. So, I need a new country outside of this world and a new leader from somewhere else in the universe, because earthlings are incapable of delivering.
John said in the book of Revelation chapter 21, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” That is the country for which I am looking. In addition to a great country, we will have a great King: He will judge the world with justice and rule the nations with fairness. – Psalm 9:8.
Hopeless Human Systems
This world is quickly returning to an era of peasants and kings: a system where royalty are the only ones living in contentment and comfort like the medieval ages. Today, you are made to believe that when you vote, you are voting for a market-driven country, or a government run country – this is how they pose the options. But regardless of who you vote for, the rich continues to get more power, and the poor continue to deplete. The game is rigged by and for the powerful and wealthy. They write the rules to win regardless.
Hope for a better Country, and King
So, I have no hope in humans or humans’ systems. I want a nation where laws are not made by man and cities are erected with no human influence. Oprah calls one of her homes “The promise land” God call’s my homeland paradise. For the promise land is a place on earth called Canaan. But paradise is God’s country. The Dalai Lama is known as a man of peace, but Tibet does not have the prince of peace.
In my new country, my king will not let me cry. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” (Rev. 21:4).
In my new country, my king has a health care plan, he offers the Tree of Life as the healing of the nation. Ancestral disease will be gone; mental health will be restored – God will gift us a sound mind (2 Tim. 1:7). In my new country, my king will get rid of projects, Section Eight, and plywood houses; I will live in a mansion. In my new country my retirement is set, no more social security or NIC. I don’t have to worry about vacationing, I will cruise up to heaven, and book a one-thousand-year vacation in a city that looks like glass. I need a king, president or prime minister who stands with poor people – not full his pocket. One who will really count my vote – not get it and serve only his friends. One who promises health care and delivers. One who cares about the success of my children. But most importantly, I need a king who will save my soul.
The Bible says in Rev. 15, “And I saw what looked like a sea of glass glowing with fire and, standing beside the sea, those who had been victorious over the beast and its image and over the number of its name. They held harps given them by God and sang the song of God’s servant Moses and of the Lamb: “Great and marvelous are your deeds, Lord God Almighty. Just and true are your ways, King of the nations.
I need the promise of this scripture’s last line, Just and true are the ways of my King and country.
