Saint Lucia records 8 new cases of COVID-19

ON Tuesday, May 25, 2021, the Ministry of Health and Wellness received confirmation of 8 new cases of COVID-19 from the Ezra Long Laboratory. These results are from a batch of 226 samples taken during the period May 20, 2021, to May 24, 2021. The samples were processed on May 24, 2021.

Confirmation was also received today of the recovery of 15 individuals diagnosed with COVID-19. This brings the total number of active cases currently recorded in the country to date to 197. Presently, one of the active cases requires critical care at the Respiratory Hospital. The new cases bring the total number of cases diagnosed in the country to date to 4968.

As of May 22, 2021, a total of 27, 507 individuals have received the first dose of the vaccine and 17, 969 individuals have received the second dose of the vaccine.
