Police Arrest Four After recovery of Firearms and Drugs in Monday Raid

The Royal Saint Lucia Police force on Monday revealed the findings in a recent operation in the Dennery community.

According to the RSLPF Facebook page, during a joint police operation conducted in Dennery, on Monday, May 24, 2021, officers executed fifteen Warrants to Search for Property at various locations and recovered two firearms, ammunition and controlled drugs.

Three males are in police custody after a search was conducted upon a residence in Dennery, where one Draco 7.62×28 automatic rifle with two magazines and twenty-five 7.62 rounds of ammunition, one Glock 19 with a magazine and thirty-two 9mm rounds of ammunition, one magazine, and fifteen 9mm rounds of ammunition were recovered. About 4.5 kgs of suspected cannabis was recovered at a second location, resulting in the arrest of one male.

Charges are expected to be preferred against persons in custody shortly.

What’s it with Dennery, since when has this once mainly agriculture and fishing village turned out so violent? what went wrong? did someone just woke up and said ‘ let’s go blazing fire, let’s see which of you can shoot faster than me? well didn’t you know ,this is the ‘Wild, wild North East’? the crackpot of the ‘Rock’ we love so much. Some say, “let them wipe each other out, soon there’ll be none of them left, only us Chickens will be left here.” BTW do you know who was talking? it was the thoughts of the wicked one, not a good Angel.
