Traffic Diversion on Millennium Highway at main intersection with Cul de Sac From Today

The Ministry of Infrastructure, Ports, Energy and Labour wishes to inform the general public that the Millennium Highway near its intersection at Cul de Sac will be closed to all traffic from 5am on Tuesday March 2, 2021.

This is to allow for the construction of the new Cul de Sac Bridge sponsored by the Japanese Government.

All traffic will be diverted via a new by-pass road, built to accommodate two-lane traffic. This road will remain commissioned through the twenty-one months duration of the project.

The Ministry of Infrastructure, Ports, Energy and Labour advises motorists to adhere to the necessary signs, cones and markings which will be placed for public guidance and safety.

Construction of the new Cul de Sac Bridge will help strengthen the country’s resilience to climate change while addressing the long-standing problem of flooding in the Cul de Sac basin.
