Liquor Licence Suspension Lifted as of Thursday 25 February 2021

No Consumption Allowed on Licensed Premises

The public was reminded earlier today that as per Statutory Instrument No. 43 of 2021, from Thursday, 25 February 2021, the suspension on alcohol sales is lifted, however, persons are not permitted to consume liquor on the licensed premises.

The notice came from the Office of the Prime Minister and also reminded citizens that bars and restaurants will only provide takeaway (grab and go) services. “The purpose of the protocol is to continue restrictions on social gatherings and assist the Ministry of Health in contact tracing efforts as Saint Lucia continues to manage the COVID-19 pandemic.”

The public was further informed that strict measures of enforcement are in place and all non-essential businesses, including bars and restaurants, must be completely closed by the curfew time of 7:00 pm daily.
