Bankers Association of Saint Lucia Covid-19 Protocols

The Bankers Association of Saint Lucia notes with concern the recent increase in the rate of Covid-19 infections on our island and continues to advocate the need to limit social interactions and to follow the established Covid-19 health and safety protocols.

Financial and Banking Services are designated as essential business activities in line with Statutory Instrument 25 and 26 of 2021 currently in effect for the period February 3rd to 09th, 2021. As a result of this designation, the opening hours of our members will remain as follows during the current state of emergency which ends at 5:00 am on 10th February 2021. Monday ā€“ Friday 8:00 a.m. ā€“ 2:00 p.m. RBC Royal Bank (Monday ā€“ Friday) 8:00 a.m. ā€“ 12:00 p.m.

We continue to do our utmost to ensure the public can access our in-branch services in a clean and safe environment with frequently touched in-branch surfaces being sanitized regularly. In addition, member financial institutions will be expanding their ability to facilitate loan interviews via remote channels (telephone, video calls and/or emails) to limit in-branch face-to-face interactions. Customers may still be required to visit their branches to sign documents however these visits are expected to be brief.

Please contact your respective financial institutions for more details about their specific arrangements. We would also like to advise the public that should there be a further deterioration in the Covid-19 situation, additional measures may be implemented to help limit face-to-face in-branch interactions. The Bankers Association of Saint Lucia wishes to remind the public that ATMs, online and mobile banking services remain available 24/7 to service your banking needs. We encourage customers to utilize these services to make banking easier and safer.

We take this opportunity to thank our customers for their continued support and cooperation and again ask that you continue to adhere to all health protocols and to stay safe and stay home.
