40th Anniversary Logo Competition

The Saint Lucia National Commission for UNESCO is pleased to announce the launch of its 40th Anniversary Logo Competition. The competition forms part of activities in observance of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Saint Lucia National Commission for UNESCO. The winning entry will serve as the official Logo for the National Commission’s year-long programme of activities in observance of this milestone.

The Saint Lucia National Commission for UNESCO was established on 2nd February 1981, following Saint Lucia’s membership to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) in 1980. It is a semi-autonomous agency that operates under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, Innovation, Gender Relations and Sustainable Development. It serves as a liaison between UNESCO and the Member State and advises Government on all matters related to UNESCO. It is responsible for the elaboration and implementation of UNESCO’s programmes and activities and coordinates the execution of projects at the national level.

Over the past forty years, the National Commission has made a tremendous contribution to Saint Lucia’s development agenda by facilitating international co-operation and bi-lateral collaboration in the fields of Education, Culture, Science and Information and Communication. This anniversary provides an opportunity to reflect on the Commission’s many accomplishments, while embracing new possibilities to adapt to changing modalities and new realities.

The 40th Anniversary Logo competition will run from 8th February 2021 to 28th February 2021. The winner of the logo competition will receive a monetary award. All participants will receive a Certificate of participation.

Entries should be submitted to the Saint Lucia National Commission for UNESCO via email: [email protected] on or before 28th February 2021. Entries reaching the National Commission after that date will not be considered.
