IT is with sadness that the members of the St. Lucia Sickle Cell Association learned about the death of Dr. June Baynes on the 4th December 2020. St. Lucia has lost a dedicated, doctor who was very passionate about her work.
Dr. June Baynes was a member of the St. Lucia Sickle Cell Association for about fifteen years and contributed to the organization as part of the team of doctors.
She offered her services, on a purely voluntary basis, to adult members of the Association, as they were transitioning from the care offered them in the Community Child Health Service. She was always willing to assist our members and showed them such love and kindness giving them a sense of comfort.
The St. Lucia Sickle Cell Association extends its deepest condolences to the family of Dr. June Baynes.
