IN observance of The Republic of China (Taiwan) (ROTC) National Day Celebrations, the Cultural Development Foundation (CDF) in collaboration with the Embassy of Taiwan reinforced its friendly relation with Saint Lucia by featuring a “Best of the Best Lantern Competition” amongst 12 selected winners and facilitators of the Annual Lantern Competition organized and produced by the CDF.
The competition was held October 8th, 2020 at the Sandals Golf and Country Club in Cap Estate at a private ceremony organized by the Embassy of Taiwan in Saint Lucia.
The Theme for the competition was “2020- Proud of Taiwan and Saint Lucia”. The diplomatic relations between the two countries spans from 1984 to present. Saint Lucia has enjoyed mutual relation with the (ROTC) with many Saint Lucians being beneficiaries in education, agriculture, community projects and more recently, supplies to assist with COVID-19 pandemic to name a few.
