C.O. Williams Construction (St. Lucia) Limited wishes to apologize to the general public and especially the residents, bus drivers, and motorists for the delays to the roadworks within the Union-Grande Riviere-Marisule Project.
To date, the company has resolved the technical problems with the compaction of the road base and will now proceed with further reclamation of the road. C.O. Williams Construction (St. Lucia) Limited is aware of the dust within the reclaimed road base area and has made all efforts to reduce the dust by:
- The sealing of the reclaimed road base on two separate occasions, and
- The constant wetting of the road base daily
However, effective week commencing Monday, October 12, 2020, the company intends to lay asphaltic concrete to the existing reclaimed road base starting from the Emerald Development Junction to eliminate the dust and to allow the road to be more motorable.
Be informed that the construction works will continue at a more expeditious pace since all technical issues have now been resolved. We, therefore, request your continued cooperation and patience during the implementation of the roadworks.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused during the roadworks.
