A woman in her 40s with a travel history to the United States and was entered into the health system on March 12, 2020, has tested positive for COVID-19.
The patient who resides alone, upon arrival on island, had self-isolated after suffering from symptoms consistent to COVID-19. She has since been in isolation where she is being treated for the virus.
Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Sharon Belmar-George confirmed our third case during a lunchtime press conference at the NTN Studios.
A plea was made for individuals to desist from disregarding the practical protocols for home quarantine as it puts the health of the entire nation at risk.
