In the second encounter, 1987 All Stars and New Generation played to a 1 – 1 draw.

Yanic Noel scored for New Generation in the 3rd minute, while Erickson Reid scored for 1987 All Stars in the 58th minute.

At the Phillip Marcellin Grounds (PMG) in Vieux Fort, Knights FC continued their good run on form in the competition with a convincing 5 – 1 victory over Diamond Ballers.

For Knights FC, the goal scorers were Nickel Emmanuel with a hat trick in the 1st, 36th and 74th minutes and one each by Jeff Emile in the 6th minute and Chris Jeffery in the 83rd minute.

Ahmed Francis pulled one back for Diamond Ballers in the 48th minute.

In the final game of the evening, and as their name indicates, Victory Eagles soared over Togetherness Youth, swamping them 7 – 1.

For Victory Eagles, the goal scorers were Darell Francis with a beaver trick in the 5th, 35th 39th and 45th minutes, Makennen Fanus in the 57th and 67th minutes and Moses Henry in the 56th minute.

Kirby Charles scored an own goal in the 60th minute.

Meanwhile, a total of 19 goals were scored in three of the four matches played in the Saint Lucia Football Association (SLFA) Inc. Senior Women’s Football Competition at three venues on Wednesday 27th November 2019. The highlight of the encounter was Vieux Fort South winning 9-0 against Micoud / Desruisseaux and the combined team of Mabouya Valley/ Dennery out playing Vieux Fort North 7 – 0 respectively.

At the Marchand Ground, Canaries made light work of the combined team of Marchand and Gros Islet to win 3- 0.

It was a clinical display exhibited by the Western lasses who in the encounter ran rings around their opponents. Indeed the score line could have been higher but the woodwork which came repeatedly shifted the field of play.

The combined team had an opportunity to pull one back midway in the second half; however, their resultant penalty kick was brilliantly saved by the Canaries custodian.

In the end Canaries owed their victory to goal scorers Tangi Lansiquot in the 36th minute, Janelle Mathurin in the 48th minute via the penalty spot and Kylah Solomon in the 51st minute.

At the Phillip Marcellin Ground in Vieux Fort two games were played.

In the first encounter, Vieux Fort South (VFS) was in a no nonsense mood stamping their dominance on a Micoud / Desruisseaux combined team inflicting them with a 9 – 0 drubbing, having led 6 – 0 at half time.

For VFS, the goal scorers were Britannia St Prix with a beaver trick, a brace from Krysan St Louis, and one each from Illana Lashley and Giana Hilton; while Merissa Prince rounded off the onslaught with an own goal.

In the second encounter, the combined team of Mabouya Valley / Dennery had a field day against Vieux Fort North (VFN) disposing of them 7 – 0.

Ketina Joseph was in sublime form scoring five of her team’s goals. She was assisted by Shaquille Henry with a brace.

The scheduled game between Central Castries and Soufriere earmarked for the Canaries playing field never materialized. It is understood that an official informed the organisers that they were unable to field a team and as a result would not be showing up.

Ironically this is the third match the team has forfeited and like their male counterparts in another SLFA competition, they are on zero points.
