Castries Mayor Honoured by St. Lucian Author

CASTRIES Mayor Peterson Francis was last week honoured by Author, Evangelist and Motivational Speaker, St Lucian Bryan Auguste.

Auguste, who is based in Ottawa, Canada, paid a courtesy visit on Mayor Francis during which he made the presentation of an engraved plaque with a short but inspiring poem of Castries.

“This poem was put together to highlight the essence of Castries through its history and the good work that you as the Mayor are doing,” said Auguste.

In accepting the plaque, Mayor Francis showered gratitude on the national author for the recognition.

“I am happy that you have recognized the work that is being done and that something is happening in the city. This gesture will certainly encourage us to do a lot more as it relates to enhancing and beautifying the city as well as improving the security of the capital,” said Mayor Francis.
