Despite the soggy conditions at the Marchand Grounds on Thursday 4th July, the National Under- 15 Football team continued their unbeaten run this time against St Marteen in their second international warm up match.
Jahil Evans and Daneo Caroo scored twice for Saint Lucia in a resounding 7 – 0 win over the visitors.
Keegan Caul, who plays for Castries Central, put Saint Lucia ahead after just five minutes and the young Saint Lucians never looked back, as they raced to a 4 – 0 goal lead by halftime in the 70-minute affair.
Team Saint Lucia got their goals from Keegan Caul in the 9th minute, Sherquan Nelson in the 11th minute, Jahlil Evans in the 33rd and 35th minute, DaneoCaroo in the 47th and 57th minute and Donavan Perpie in the 54th minute.
The national Under 15 team is currently continuing their preparation to participate in the 2019 CONCACAF Under 15 Boys Championship scheduled to take place at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.
Coached by St Croix ‘Vaso’ Albert, the team has an impeccable record to date. In 2018 they emerged Group Champions in the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Boys Challenge and earlier this year defeated a team from Puerto Rico.
