A twenty-man football team is currently in the Dominican Republic where they will compete in the Under 23 Olympic Football Qualifiers. Saint Lucia is grouped together with Antigua and Barbuda, Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico.
Saint Lucia, played their first match against host the Dominican Republic last evening at 7.00pm.
Tomorrow, 19th July, Saint Lucia will play Puerto at 5.00 p.m.
On Sunday 21st Saint Lucia plays Antigua and Barbuda at 5.00 pm.
The Saint Lucia squad reads – Vino Barclette – Goal Keeper, Devone St. Prix, Kimlan Mason – Defenders, Shervin George, Sebastien Ribot, Hakeem Harrow, Melvin Doxilly, Keeroy Lionel, Alvinus Myers, Cassius Joseph, Ridel Stanislaus, Ed Fred, Mac Arthur Louise, RyiMaryat, Raphael Joseph, Gabriel Biscette, Aaron Richard, Djal Augustin, Noah Nicholas and Al Charles.
Accompanying the Team is Head Coach Jamaal Shabazz, along with Francis Lastic, CesPodd – Technical Director, and Randy Poleon.
The Group winners will advance to the semifinals and finals.
