Matches continued yesterday (Wednesday 10th July 2019), in the Saint Lucia Football Association Inc. (SLFA) Under-17 football tournament played at the Grande Riviere Playing Field.
From 2.30 p.m. Aux-Lyons United (Mabouya Valley) took on the Lionheart Sports Club (Desruisseaux); while at 4.30 p.m. Togetherness Youth (Mabouya Valley) played Blanchard United (Desruisseaux).
In game 1, R.Y.O from Mabouya Valley defeated Diamond Ballers from Desruisseaux 2-0. Scoring for R.Y.O wereCanius Sandiford in the 30th minute and Lez Ferdinand in the 90th minute.
In game 2, Piton Travel Young Stars from Dennery showed no mercy for Ti-Rocher FC from Desruisseaux when they trounced them 7-1.
Joshua Fletcher and Tirus Didier scored in the 6th and 9th minute, respectively. Josh Hunte had a brace scoring in the 22nd and 27th minute, while Atk Marquis scored the tournament’s first hat-trick, his goals coming in the 2nd, 13th and 65th minute.
Delton Rigobert scored Ti-Rocher’s late consolation goal in the 72nd minute.
