On Friday, May 3rd, Police Officers attached to the Gros Islet Police Station conducted a search at Grande Riviere, upon the person of thirty-year-old Michael Phillip Laurent, of Grande Riviere, Gros Islet. During the search, Police officers discovered a .380 pistol and ten rounds of ammunition in his possession.
Michael was subsequently charged for possession of a firearm and ammunition without a valid license. He was escorted to the First District Court where he was granted bail in the sum of $5000.00, cash or suitable surety, on each count. Michael is expected to appear in Court again on Wednesday, June 12, 2019.
