The Saint Lucia Premier League (SPL) T20 tournament continues tomorrow (Friday 31st May 2019) at the Phillip Marcellin Ground (PMG) in Vieux Fort with one match on the cards. From 7.30 p.m. Gros Islet takes on Mon Repos Pioneers.
Last evening, one game was played at the Gros Islet Playing Field (GIPF). South Castries Lions with the likes of Johnson Charles and Andre Fletcher took on the home team Gros Islet Knights with West Indies Under -19 opening batsman Kimani Melius leading the charge.
Going to press last evening it was still uncertain which team batted first.
On Tuesday evening at the GIPF, Mabouya Valley Renegades captained by Murgaran Shoulette defeated Daren Sammy led Avatar City Blasters by 41 runs in a must win situation for Mabouya Valley Renegades.
Winning the toss and bating first, MVR scored 168 for the loss of 6 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Captain Murgaran Shoulette led from the front with a top score of 55 runs. Other contributions with the bat came from Orey Changoo (32), Mateo Boulogne (31) not out and Tyler Sookwa 14 not out.

Needing 169 for victory, AVB folded for 124 in18.4 overs with Daren Sammy top scoring with 49, before he was out caught by OreyChangoo off the bowling of Jaiden Elibox. Wade Clovis was caught by Orey Changoo off the bowling of Tyler Sookwa for 28.

On Friday 24th, the opening day of the tournament, Choiseul Craft Masters defeated Club Whispers by 9 wickets. In day two double header on Saturday, May 25th South Castries Lions defeated Mon Repos Pioneers by 110 runs.
