Ms. Biscette received a cheque in the amount of EC $7,000 during a short hand-over ceremony at the bank’s corporate centre, Bridge Street on Friday February 15th. A Curriculum Officer in the Ministry of Education, Ms. Biscette says her winnings will go towards the education of her two sons, “help with bills and something fun with my sons because I place great value on the work-life balance.”

Open to CIBC FirstCaribbean customers across the region, credit and debit card holders became eligible for the grand prize draw of seven thousand dollars with every card transaction valued at a minimum of one hundred and thirty-five dollars.

A CIBC FirstCaribbean Bank customer for the past twelve years, Ms. Biscette described the experience of winning “this unexpected and tidy sum” as something that further enriches the customer experience at CIBC FirstCaribbean.

“Great customer service compensates for the time involved in interrupting your work day to take care of financial matters, so I appreciate the effort the bank takes to make their service delivery efficient because that caters to my convenience” she said citing as examples, the friendliness of the staff and the use of a customer service officer who engages every customer entering the banking hall to direct them on where to go based on the nature of their transaction for the day.

Making the presentation to the winner was Mrs. Smerna Pompelis-Kangal, Branch Manager and Mrs. Carol Mangal, Senior Relationship Manager, Sales & Platinum Banking at CIBC FirstCaribbean. In thanking the longstanding customer for her continued patronage, Mrs. Pompelis reiterated the bank’s commitment to “create products tailored to the needs and priorities of our customers and, also the incentives to encourage and motivate them to prioritize fiscal responsibility, which always guarantees rewards – both expected and unexpected.”
