A combined 26 male and female swimmers from Saint Lucia are in the French-speaking island of Martinique this weekend to compete in the Claude Sufrin Invitational. The two days of competition will take place at the Centre Aquatique Communautaire.
The Saint Lucia swimmers will compete against their counterparts from Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Guadeloupe, French Guyana, Suriname and host Martinique.
By all indications there will be two days of hard fought competition among some of the region’s elite age-group aspirants and many outstanding performances are expected.
The Saint Lucia team is a well-balanced one despite missing the likes of Jayhan Odlum – Smith, Mikaela Casimir, Eden Crick, Fayth Jeffrey, D’ Andre Blanchard and Jamaar Archibald.
Four members of Saint Lucia 2018 Carifta team will be making the trip, Naima Hazell, Naekeisha Louis, Mikaili Charlemagne and Allandre Cross.
Eight members of the OECS team for 2018 are also in there, Karic Charles, Naima Hazell, Naekisha Louis, Alandre Cross, Ziv Reynolds, Jennot Walters, Mikaili Charlemagne and Marissa Louisy.
Seven members of the Goodwill team for 2018 are also included – Karic Charles, Isabelle Esper, Ethan Hazell, Courtney Paul, Tammy Pultie, Ziv Reynolds and Jeannot-Michel Walters
The squad that is presently in Martinique reads, from Sharks Swim Club -Tammy Pultie, Allandre Cross, Ziv Reynolds, Mikaili Charlemagne, Lauren Du Boulay and IsaelleEsoer.
