Another Bittersweet Memorial Moment for Fidel

PRESS RELEASE – ANOTHER year is upon us, since our dearly beloved Comrade, Commander in Chief of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, departed this earthly existence, where he left his indelible impressions upon the lives and in the minds of millions of people all over the world.

Through his work as the premier revolutionary leader and thinker of the 20th and 21st centuries, Fidel left his stamp of positive revolutionary action and humanism on the hearts of millions of youth, students, and the indigent elderly, from all across the globe, and more notably from Africa, Europe, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean. We would like to remind humanity that students and youth from various walks of life in the United States of America, also had the experience of sharing in Fidel’s great generosity.

Fidel is remembered in a very special way, not only as a legendary revolutionary leader, but for his commitment and dedication for the significant advancement in education and healthcare for his people and which has benefited others all over the world.

It is always a bittersweet moment for the Saint Lucia–Cuba Humanistic Solidarity Association, when we recall the earthly demise and transition of our great leader. Bitter due to the very sad loss that his death means for us, and sweet because of the cherished memories of his unwavering actions of solidarity with the youth, students and needy citizens of Saint Lucia, particularly in the areas of education and healthcare.

On behalf of the Members and supporters of the Saint Lucia–Cuba Humanistic Solidarity Association, it is our honour to pay homage to the memory of this unique and unforgettable Caribbean revolutionary icon, Commander in Chief, Fidel Castro Ruz.
