Blackheart Football: SUPER WEEKEND FOR BIG 8!

THE La Ressource playing field will be ablaze this weekend as the Blackheart Production team with the sport governing body, the Saint Lucia Football Association staging one of its most talked about events, the Big 8, ahead of the main showpiece scheduled for Saturday 15th September 2018.

The final draw to determine who meets who took place on Tuesday evening at the Saint Lucia Football Association Headquarters in La Clery.

On Day 1, from 5.00 p.m. Game 1- Micoud will take on Laborie; Game 2 – the National Under – 20 team versus Anse la Raye; Game 3 – Vieux Fort South takes on Gros Islet; Game 4- Mabouya versus Roseau in a battle of the “Two Vallies”

Tomorrow, Day 2 the excitement resumes from 2.00 p.m. with the four teams which advances as winners on Day 1.

All matches are of 60 minutes duration.

Meanwhile, the launch for the Play Off is slated for Tuesday 4, September, 2018 at a venue to be determined by the organizers.

In the Western Leg, from 4.00 p.m. on Wednesday 5th, Soufriere plays South Castries at the Anse la Raye field.

The return leg is scheduled for Saturday 8th at the La Ressource playing field (Dennery).

In the Eastern Leg, Mon Repose will clash with Desruisseaux at the Micoud playing field on Wednesday 5th from 4.00 p.m.

The return leg is slated for Saturday 8th September, at the La Resource playing field (Dennery) from 4.00 p.m.

The two top teams of the four teams in the playoff will advance to complete the list of the 16 teams eligible for the Blackheart Championship scheduled to commence on Saturday 15th September.
